IELTS test results are here!

Waiting 13 days for IELTS results is unbearable! Your future will be determined by this big day!

Hey, wait a minute! The following information is sent to you via email:

IELTS RESULTS ARE WITHHELD OR DELAYED!

Anxiety, nervousness, fear, fright, annoyance, and so on are just a few of the emotions you feel at once. After wondering what exactly happened, how do you proceed?

If you don’t know your results, you can contact your test center.

Take the time to investigate the reasons behind such a statement.

IELTS Test Results withheld or delayed - Why?

There are three circumstances in which IELTS results may be withheld or delayed. Details of the terms and conditions are included in the attachment to the test application form. Be sure to read the report once to learn about all three reasons for the delay.

Terms & Conditions for the IELTS Test Results

The three (3) most important terms and conditions must be reviewed.

Thirteen days after you take the test, IELTS Test Partners may conduct a review of any matters related to your test or its administration. You may be asked to provide writing and speaking samples as part of any investigation. It is possible to retake IELTS components in exceptional circumstances.

The First Term & Condition

If your IELTS test partner wants to review your test thoroughly, your result may take longer than 13 days to arrive. These actions can be motivated by two factors:

  • If you would like your test rechecked with one of our IELTS testing partners, please let us know

  • As a quality control measure, they want to ensure that the test is of high quality

Each module’s test will be rechecked if two or more bands differ in each module.

It is 7.5 Band for IELTS Listening and 5.5 Band for IELTS Writing. You will be examined by another examiner to ensure the quality of your test.

You should have similar Listening scores to Writing scores if you are so good at listening. You may also need to reappear for a component or two depending on the test partner.

The Second Term & Condition

You may have your IELTS results canceled if your test is irregular. There is a possibility that one or more IELTS components will need to be taken again.

Your results may get cancelled if IELTS assessors find any discrepancy with your test. Also, you may ask to re-appear for the entire test or some part of the test.

The term ‘irregularity’ refers to any action that directly impacts your test.

Test administrators adhere to strict quality control procedures in order to maintain the integrity of the IELTS Test.

The results of your study may be scrutinized as a result. This investigation may result in a delay or withholding of your results.

What can you do if your IELTS Results is withheld or delayed?

An e-mail will be sent to you by IELTS explaining the delay or cancellation of your Exam Results. If you do not receive an e-mail, your IELTS Test Center may be able to assist you. Do not hesitate to check your Spam folder if you do not receive an email.

Nevertheless, there is no predetermined time limit for such a request. In some cases, it can take up to three weeks, depending on the situation

How to avoid such situations?

1. After Taking Test

Re-Appear Your Test: In case you don't want to wait, you can take another IELTS test. You will also have the option of choosing which results to use. If you choose the highest result, you will be successful in the future.

2. Before Taking Test

Book Your Test in Advance:

You will be able to meet your actual deadlines if you take the test in advance. The results will be sent to you within 13 days, giving you ample time to take action if you do not receive them within that timeframe

IELTS results can be obtained without difficulty if you prepare enough for the exam. Additionally, you can prepare for the IELTS Exam by taking Online IELTS Practice Tests.

You can score high by using the tips and strategies of the IELTS experts. Online practice tests are available for every module of the IELTS exam (nearly 100 in total). Using the IELTS Tutorials Exam Practice Apps, you will be able to access practice tests for each module.
